Collecting Logs on Windows    

To collect logs on Windows, perform the following steps:


1.    Start the Client.

2.    Navigate to Settings > Troubleshoot > Enable Advanced Logging.

3.    Start the Client and run through scenario.

4.    After you see the error message, navigate to Settings >Troubleshoot > Create and Email Help File.

 


Collecting Logs on Mac OS X    

To collect logs on Mac OS X, performing the following steps:


1.    Start the Client.

2.    Navigate to Settings > Troubleshoot > Enable Advanced Logging.

3.    Start the Client, run through scenario, and after you see the error message, navigate to

Settings >Troubleshoot > Create Help File.

4.    Share the file to [email protected].

 


Collecting Mac OS Console Logs    

The Mac OS console logs give detailed error if either the SecureW2 App crashes or the App could not run. To collect the console logs, perform the following steps:


1.    Open the console App on the Mac device.

2.    Leave this opened in the background, and run through the JoinNow procedure.

3.    After you notice the error message/crash on the client, go back to the Console window where you find the console logs updated.

4.    From the menu, choose Edit > Select All.

5.    From the menu, choose Edit > Copy.

6.    Paste the copied logs into a new plain text document.

7.    Save the text document and share the log file to [email protected].

 


Collecting Logs on Android    

You can use the JoinNow Android App to collect and share the logs:


1.    Open the JoinNow Android App.

2.    Select the Create and Email Help file option from the menu on the top left.

3.    Select Gmail to share the log file to [email protected] as shown in the following screens.

You can also debug a Wi-Fi connectivity issue on Android with the help of its Wi-Fi Verbose logging feature. To do so, perform the following steps:


1.    Navigate to Settings > Developer Options.

2.    Enable USB debugging, Power menu bug reports, and WiFi Verbose Logging.

3.    Press the Power button, and select the bug reports option. A notification to Take bug report

is displayed.

4.    Select the Report option and wait for a few seconds. You get a notification after the bug report is generated.

 


5.    Tap on the notification.

6.    On the new pop-up, enable the Show this message next time option, and tap OK to share this bug report.

7.    Choose your email application to share the report. Doing so attaches the bug report along with the screen shot of the device desktop.

Collecting Logs on Linux    

Download the SecureW2 script and run the below command to collect the logs:


sh SecureW2_JoinNow.run --backtrace
