Be extra careful about clicking on links in messages or e-mail, especially if you don't trust the person who sent them. Lots of pranksters sending shortened links (like "goo.gl/XYZ" or "t.co/XYZ") to a website which crashes your web browser on iPhones or iPads.

The site is crashsafari.com

Crashsafari appears to run javascript code that overloads the victim’s address bar with an infinite series of numbers.

If you do follow a bad link and your device crashes, 1) force quit your browser, 2) put your device in airplane mode, and 3) go back into the browser and close the window that's the problem. If you're stuck, go to the Tech Office for help!
